Graham Shaw

Shaw started his Sheffield United career off in January 1951 and soon became a fans favourite. He was a stylish left back that was quick on the ball and was great at clearing the ball in dangerous situations. His career with the Blades later 16 seasons, between 1951 and 1967 and in total he made just under 500 appearances. His great play with Sheffield United earned the player 5 caps with England. He finished his career off playing for Doncaster Rovers.

 

Alan Hodgkinson

Hodgkinson is without doubt one of the greatest players to have played for the Blades. His career at the club spanned a total of 18 years between 1953 and 1971. He is arguably the clubs finest ever goal keeper. He spent much of his time at the club as their first choice goalkeeper and in his long career at Bramall lane; he made a total of 675 appearances in goal, 576 of them being in the league. He was part of the England squad of the 1958 world cup finals.
