Trevor Hockey

Hockey started his career off playing for Bradford City in the year 1960. A year later he moved on to play for Nottingham Forest in November 1961 and two years later, he was on the move again, this time to Newcastle United FC. He helped Newcastle win the second division in 1965 and moved to Birmingham City in 1965 for £25,000. After making 231 appearances for Birmingham City, some of which as club captain, he moved on to play for Sheffield United in January 1971. He made an instant impact for the Blades and his outstanding defensive play helped the club earn promotion that season. He spent nearly two years at Sheffield United before playing for Norwich City.

Tony Currie

Currie’s football career set off while playing for Sheffield United in 1968, moving to the club for a fee of £26,500. He was an outstanding attacking midfielder who had the capability of striking long deadly passes and was extremely skilful whenever on the ball. He made a staggering 313 appearances for the club and netted in 54 goals. His great play with the Blades earned him a call up into the England team and he went on to make 17 appearances for his country. In the summer of 1976 he moved to Elland Road to play for Leeds United and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club. He later on finished his career off playing for Tranmere and Hendon.
