Colin Morris

Morris was a key member of the Sheffield United side during the 1980’s and was an entertaining right winger who would attack the opposition through out matches. He is well known as one part of the Morris – Keith Edwards’s partnership as he usually supplied ammunition to Edwards. No player in the history of the Sheffield United football team has scored and missed as many penalties as Morris.

Keith Edwards

Edwards is without doubt one of the greatest ever strikers to have played for a Sheffield club. He first joined Sheffield United in the year 1975, spending three years at the club, scoring some vital goals for the club. In 1978, he signed for Hull City for a fee of £50,000 and made an impact at the club. He could not keep away from Sheffield United and re joined the club in 1981 for £100,000 and during his first season back at the club, he scored a post war record of 35goals for the club in the 1981-82 season.

Brian Marwood

Bryan Marwood developed through the junior ranks at Hull City. Sheffield United purchased Marwood from Hull for £115,000 in August 1984 and instantly made a huge impact at the club. During what proved to be his first spell playing for the club, he made 125 appearances and scored 27 league goals. His great play earned him a move to Arsenal as George Graham paid £600,000 for him in March 1988 and he helped Arsenal win the league title in 1989. He moved back to Sheffield United a year later.
