Michael Brown

After a long successful spell playing for Manchester City between 1995 and 1999, Brown moved on to play for Sheffield United and made an instant impact for the Blades in his midfield position. He spent four years playing for United and made over 150 league appearances for the club. He was outstanding during the 2002-03 season, being named as the clubs best player of the year. His great play earned him a move to premiership outfit, Tottenham Hotspur in 2004, a club he spent two years at. In the summer of 2006 he signed for Fulham FC.

Paul Peschisolido

Peschisolido is arguably one of the greatest Canadian football players to have played football in the English football league. He started his career off in English football playing for Birmingham City during the 92-93 seasons and he then went on to spend two seasons with Stoke City. Peschisolido spent the 96-97 season with West Brom, scoring 15 goals at the club. He left West Brom towards the end of 1997, signing for Fulham for £1,100,100 and scored 13 goals in his first season for the Cottagers. He singed for Sheffield United in the year 2001 and soon made an outstanding impact at the club. He spent three years at the club and became a fans favourite at Sheffield. He most notably helped Sheffield United reach the semi finals of the FA Cup in 2003. In the summer of 2004 he moved on to play for Derby County.

Phil Jagielka

After coming through the ranks at Sheffield United, Jagielka made his senior debut for the club in the May 2001 and his great play earned him a professional contract at the club. He dominated the United midfield since his arrival and established himself in the team during the 2001-02 season. His great play with Sheffield United earned him a call up to the England under 21 football team. He has now made over 200 appearances for the club.

Michael Tonge

Tonge has provided a fine service to the Sheffield United midfield since making his debut during the 1999-2000 season. He was outstanding in the league cup during the 2001-02 season as he scored two goals in a semi final match against eventual winners, Liverpool.
Tonge is capable of operating in many different roles, including a wide or central midfield position. He has scored many great goals for the club and helped the Blades secure promotion during the 2005-06 campaign.
